How Number Snake works
Guide the snake around a grid. Eat the numbered bite to score and grow. Hitting a wall or your own tail ends the run. Speed increases every few bites, so late-game turns need a little more nerve. You cannot reverse directly into yourself.
Why people stay for another round
Snake is still the cleanest arcade loop on the web: one stick, one rule, a score that only ever goes up until it does not. Numbered bites make every meal a small decision — skip a low value to set up a better line, or take it and live.
Tips
- Hug the edges early so you have a safe circuit when the tail gets long.
- Never cut across the body unless you can see the exit.
- When speed ramps, take wider turns — tight corners are how runs die.
